Best chainsaw I've ever owned.....best ever.
After 25 years, my Poulan chainsaw died. The safety mechanism and clutch overheated and it was just too expensive to repair. Replacement parts cost as much as a new saw. I'm happy to say, my new Poulan 2050 is a BEAST! I spent a day felling and bucking hardwood trees and it out-performed my expectations.Bear
I bought the saw 4 months ago and use it daily i have never had a problem. The chain it comes with sucks its like a toy so you do not hurt yourself , Put a new Oregon bar and decent 72 link chain do the muffler mod and you have yourself a screaming demon of a saw , keeps up with my stihl and my husky blows away my remmington craftsman and my ryobi, Starts every time never has stopped and I have 45 inch rounds with it no problem. Stock up on bar oil it drinks it like crazy but that is a good thing love the saw and keeps right up with my big money saws im really impressed. If it came stock with a better bar and chain it would be the ultimate chainsawscottdanny22
BREAK IT IN!!! Great saw if it's taken care of!
Great running saw now that I have some hours on it. Speaking from a lot of experience, with ANY 2 stroke equipment, you have to mix the oil properly and take care to break it in before you start working it hard. Every negative review on here is from a new owner who likely pulled the saw out of the box and expected to hold it at full throttle and just start cutting down trees. Instead, let the engine get hot and cold several times, don't hold it wide open for extended periods during the first few hours of operation (overheats the piston rings), and it'll last for YEARS problem free! Awesome buy, great price, exactly the right fit the average home owner. I typically cut 3-5 cords of wood over the course of a winter and this saw has performed very well so far.Bill Z
